Our New Photo Gallery in Chania – A Local Family Sharing Crete’s Beauty

For more than 20 years, Iason Studios has welcomed guests from all over the world to the heart of Chania’s old town. What started as a small family-run accommodation has grown into a place full of stories, friendships, and unforgettable summer memories. And now, we’re sharing another piece of our world, through our photo gallery, located right at the reception of Iason Studios.

A New Chapter for a Beloved Old Town Landmark

In the summer of 2025, our family opened the doors to a new gallery space within Iason Studios. It’s a fresh initiative but born from the same spirit that has guided us for decades, genuine hospitality, love for Chania, and the wish to offer visitors something heartfelt and lasting.

Each photograph in the gallery is taken in Chania or across Crete, from glowing sunsets at Falasarna Beach to the quiet charm of village life, the awe of the White Mountains’ wilderness, and the living colors of the island’s nature.

Our Family’s Vision of Chania

This project grew naturally from who we are. For years, many of our guests have told us that staying at Iason Studios made them feel part of the neighborhood, like having a local family to show them around. The photo gallery is another way of sharing that same feeling.

Each image has a personal story behind it, moments we’ve lived or scenes that remind us every day of what makes Chania so special, its light, its colors, its warmth, and the way it connects to everyone who visits.

Themes That Capture the Spirit of Crete

Our gallery showcases several themes that reflect the beauty and variety of Chania and Crete:

• Seascapes & Sunsets: The breathtaking play of light along the coast, from Sougia to Falasarna and beyond.
• Cretan Mountains: Peaceful and powerful landscapes of the white mountains and more.
• Cretan Nature & Wildlife: Authentic glimpses of island life, animals and bloomed wildflowers that color the countryside.

All our prints are available for purchase in A3 and A4 sizes, using high-quality paper and ink to preserve every detail and color of Chania. The packaging is sturdy enough to protect them during travel, yet compact enough to easily fit in a regular suitcase, so you can bring your favourite piece of Crete safely home.
